September Fest: a full month of tournaments
A new tournament awaits the academies every evening in September. Different fields, different challenges, different strategies – and a full month to climb the Festival Ranking.
On September 1, September Fest begins: PAL’s first month-long tournament festival.
Until September 30, a new tournament starts every evening at 20:00, but it will not be the same event repeated day after day. Every day of the week has its own character, with an Open, Knockout, Heads-Up, separate women’s and men’s events, Masters and the Continental Clash.
You do not have to be there from day one to stay in contention. In the Festival Ranking, it is not about who plays the most – it is about who can produce the best results.
Seven days, seven different tournaments
Monday – September Fest Open
The open tournament of the week.
No special format and no restrictions: enter your players and try to start the week with the strongest possible result.
Tuesday – September Fest Knockout
Here, your final position is not the only thing that matters.
Every eliminated opponent earns a bounty, so an aggressive player can still deliver a strong result for the academy even without winning the tournament.
Wednesday – September Fest Ladies
Wednesday belongs to PAL’s female players.
The academies’ best female competitors face each other in a dedicated tournament.
Thursday – September Fest Men
On Thursday evening, the male players take their seats.
A new field and another chance to produce a strong festival result.
Friday – September Fest Heads-Up
On Friday, there is nowhere to hide.
One player, one opponent, one duel. The winner advances, the loser is eliminated, until only one player remains.
Saturday – September Fest Masters
One of the strongest fields of the week.
The PAL Masters players also take their seats, making a big Saturday result especially valuable.
Sunday – September Fest Continental Clash
On Sunday, the battle is not only about the academies.
Players also represent their country and continent, and their results count towards the Continental Ranking as well.
It is not about who plays the most
September Fest runs for a full month, so players who join later still have a chance.
In the Festival Ranking, each player’s best 8 results count.
That means one bad evening does not decide anything. There is always another chance to improve, and even in the second half of the month a player can make a major move up the ranking.
There is also a separate competition between academies. In the Academy Ranking, 8 results also count, with a maximum of two results coming from the same player.
So relying on a single star player is not enough: the strongest academies will need good results from several members of their roster.
Thirty evenings. Plenty of opportunities.
Keep an eye on the next tournament, choose the right players and decide which events you want to build your month around.
Maybe a Heads-Up specialist will bring in the most points.
Maybe it will be an unexpected Knockout run.
Or perhaps a player nobody considered a contender at the start of September.
September Fest begins on September 1.
